The Blue Book of Turkey, Annual Report on Turkey’s National Development (2014), was published at the Social Sciences Academic Press (China). This is the first comprehensive survey on Turkey in the Chinese world, a cooperative work between Confucius Institute at Boğaziçi University and the Center for Turkish Studies of Shanghai University. There are 18 chapters, covering the subjects of politics, economics, society, culture and foreign policy. Some topics including education and gender are to be discussed in the Chinese context for the first time. Prominent authors such as Prof. Ma Lirong from Shanghai International Studies University, Prof. Li Bingzhong from Shaanxi Normal University, Prof. Guo Changgang and Prof. Zhang Yong-an from Shanghai University, Dr. Altay Atlı from Boğaziçi University, joined this program. Confucius Institute at Boğaziçi University contributed most, with eight authors who are or have been volunteers or research assistants at the institute. Chinese Director, Dr. Yi Liu, is the co-editor and the author of the introduction.
