In 2012, through the effort of all the staff and collaboration of mutual parts in the last year CIBU was honored “Confucius Institute of the Year 2012”. This prize also attracted lots of attention from the Turkish media. More than 10 Turkish media such as Hurriyet, Haber Turk, CNN Turk, Yeni Safak, F5 Haber, Ejitim made relative reports. On January 14th, 2013, the editor of China Today in Turkey, Kerem Köfteoglu interviewed the Turkish Director of CIBU, Prof. Esenbel and the Chinese Director of CIBU, Dr. Miao Fuguang.
