The summer camp of Confucius Institute is to provide an environment for students to promote their Chinese language level and to experience Chinese culture intimately. In 2015, our camp will be hosted in Shanghai University, the Chinese partner of Confucius Institute at Boğaziçi University.

Contents
1. 30-hour Chinese language course of primary and intermediate level;
2. Local tours to Shanghai downtown (the Bund, Oriental Pearl Tower, Yu Garden, etc.), Nanjing, Suzhou, and Hangzhou;
3. Face to face meeting with Chinese students;
4. Practice of Tai-chi, tea art, calligraphy, and other cultural activities;

Supports from Confucius Institute
1. Confucius Institute will help students to apply for a tour visa, valid for 30 days.
2. Lodge and accommodation, tickets and local transportation for tours, and other expenses for collective activities in Shanghai, will be covered.

Requirements for students
1. Applicants should have attended at least one semester of Chinese language course (45 hours), with a proof from their respective institutions.
2. Applicants need fill a form of their personal information as well as a statement of their intents to join the camp.
3. Once admitted, students have to pay a registration fee of 50TL, and sign an agreement with Confucius Institute for security, health and other relevant concerns; if they cannot join due to schedule conflict or other reasons, students have to inform Confucius Institute within one week after the official announcement.
4. Students need pay the visa fee, return air tickets, as well as other individual expenses.

Schedule
1. Application: March 15-April 15, 2015
2. Interview: 24 April, 2015 (TBA)
3. Announcement of the outcome: 30 April, 2015
4. Signing agreement, application for visa, air tickets: May and June, 2015
5. The camp: July 1-14, 2015
